In April Museums Sheffield and Sheffield Industrial Museums Trust joined together to form the new, Sheffield Museums. Like every industry museums have been hugely impacted by the pandemic but with support from the Government’s Culture Recovery Fund, Sheffield Museums’ is back and now better than ever! From Life Drawing classes at Millennium Gallery to The Sheffield Project photographic series at Weston Park Museum, there is something for everyone.
The National Emergency Services Museum is one of Sheffield’s most loved independent museums, and is one of the largest emergency services museums in the world. It is housed in an old fire and ambulance statin right in the city centre and many of its original features have been preserved for visitors to take a look at. With a huge collection of interactive exhibits, vehicles and other unique items, it’s a great way to get the whole family involved and learn something new.
Looking to get crafty and keep your friends and family entertained? Sheffield Fired Arts Craft Café is the perfect place. Located on Ecclesall Road and open everyday except Mondays, you can get creative, painting your own pots, mugs and plates.
